Hate to be serious for a moment. People are ok with all the bigotries, and killing, and murders, but Jisbon is an issue. It’s a sad state of the world. Like how the U.S. movie ratings board has trouble with nudity but rape and murder in the same movie are fine. I love the Jisbon name, no shame.
Haha, it’s not that I’m a prude or anything, as I use Jisbon all the time, but it’s somehow a bit weirder to *say* “jizz” out loud, lol. I’ve gotten used to it pretty quickly, but it was weird the first few times!
I guess I am out of things because I don’t know about “jizz.” So I wasn’t aware it was controversial. The Jisbon name will only mean one thing to me, and that is the special relationship between two damaged individuals who overcome terrible events in their lives and help each other heal. (And close a lot of cases!). And the great George Carlin commented decades ago about the hypocrisy of Hollywood being hung up on words but turning a blind eye to violence. Hard to square that circle sometime.
Enjoyed the first two episodes of the pod and heard some different insights into some scenes. Like how Patrick turns into what he describes RJ to be. Never thought about it like that. Looking forward to future episodes.
Thank you so much for listening! Glad to hear we’ve got some insights new to folks. 🙂 I can’t wait for us to get to the later seasons, when Jisbon really starts to develop.
